| ViPNet TUNNEL Detail |
ViPNet TUNNEL product is designed for making protected virtual network between offices or LANs. The product is used when there is no necessity of access control inside each of the LANs, which are included in the VPN.
ViPNet TUNNEL software allows to:
provide tunneling between unprotected computers or LAN/WAN;
provide filtering in accordance with given secure policy;
provide work of virtual network objects as one address inside LAN.
ViPNet TUNNEL includes 2 licenses of ViPNet Coordinator.
ViPNetCoordinator - a multifunctional module that can be used, depending on a setup, as a:
IP-address Server - to provide real-time information about the status of the VPN objects and their current IP-addresses;
Tunneling Server - to tunnel (encrypt) the traffic going between unsecured computers/servers on the LAN to the rest of the VPN (including mobile and remote users) over public communications channels. In the case of mobile and remote VPN users, the Tunneling Server acts as a server providing access to LAN resources;
Firewall - to filter the traffic by specified parameters (ports, protocols, address ranges, types of services/applications) in accordance with prescribed privacy policy. In using the Firewall, you can specify individual filter rules for each available network interface;

To use ViPNet Client and ViPNet Manager:
- Minimum Processor (CPU): Pentium II
- Operating system: MS Windows 98SE/ME/NT4/2000/XP/2003 Server, or Linux (only for ViPNet Client)
- Minimum RAM: 32 MB RAM (64 recommended)
- Minimum free disk space: 20MB (100 recommended)
- CD-ROM drive
- Access to Internet or local IP-network
To use ViPNet Coordinator:
- Minimum Processor (CPU): Pentium II
- Operating system: Windows NT4/2000/XP/2003 Server, or Linux, or Solaris
- Minimum RAM: 64 MB RAM (128 recommended)
- Minimum free disk space: 100 MB
- CD-ROM drive
- Access to Internet or local IP-network
- Modem and/or network card(s)
