Oceans Connect receives ISO 27001:2005 accreditation
Pune, 10th Oct 2007: Oceans Connect, a leading UK-based outsourcing services provider specializing in the provision of voice and back-office services recently announced that it has been certified as an ISO 27001:2005 certified organization. Oceans Connects Information Security Management System (ISMS) was certified by BVC (Bureau Veritas Certifications) and formally accredited by United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
Commenting on this achievement, Mr. Pankaj Singh – Vice President Operations, said, “It is becoming increasingly important to comply with globally recognised standards & certifications to instil confidence in potential & existing customers. This certification will enable us to minimize the security vulnerability in our processes.”
ISO 27001:2005 standard provides best in class practices for protecting organisation’s information assets. This international standard provides a robust model for implementing the principles as set out in OECD (2002) Guidelines governing risk assessment, security design and implementation, security management and reassessment. The standard is designed on the PDCA model that enables the organisation to continually assess its performance and improve on the same.
