SATEL SPAIN SL chose OWASYS for Remote Monitoring of Photovoltaic Installations.
This remote monitoring system for photovoltaic installations is designed to give the users access to a server via an ASP (Active Server Pages) connection. This offers permanent monitoring of the different parameters; Inverter Energy Production, Sensors, Security Surveillance.
The Satel system is based on 2 elements:
• Gateway in the plant (based on the Owasys owa22I), working as a data capture terminal taking the information from the inverters, sensors and security systems and sending the information via GPRS to the central server.
• Central Server, which receives, saves and manages the information received from the gateway and allow the users access to the data remotely through Internet.
The communication between the Gateway and the different elements which provide the information (inverters, sensors, cameras, etc) can be done by cable or radiofrequency with the aim of easy installation and reduced cost.
The gateway and the central server are Linux based.
With this system the manager of photovoltaic plants has a useful tool which provides all the information about how the plant is working. It can provide instant and accumulated information of the production and sensors data, allowing cross referenced data and analyzing the performance of the installations.
Also, the system offers guaranteed ON LINE information about status and alarms related to the functioning and surveillance of the installations. For example a message can be configured when an intrusion alarm has been generated and the associated image can be provided.
