Trish Elledge, an expert in mediation and conflict management, has been a professional mediator, trainer, and facilitator for over 20 years and has mediated over 3000 divorce cases. In her native Idaho, Ms. Elledge was a leader and trainer in the community mediation program, the Sounding Board. She spearheaded a statewide effort to introduce and implement peer mediation programs into Idaho schools and worked as a domestic mediator with the Friends of the Court program for the Fourth Judicial District. After moving to the Denver area in 1991, she continued her work in mediation, striving locally and nationally to develop public awareness of the use of mediation and of the profession itself. An active member of Colorado Council of Mediators and Mediation Organizations (CCMO), Ms. Elledge was largely responsible for establishing May as Colorado Mediation Month and is currently the Chair of CCMO”S Professional Mediator Application Committee . In 1994, she became a contract mediator for and the manager of the Colorado Judicial Branch 18th Judicial District Office of Dispute Resolution. Regular involvement with Association for Conflict Resolution, local and national bar associations and the National Speakers Association/Colorado helps her to keep new ideas and techniques flowing and their implementation timely. Ms. Elledge’s diverse background and talents combined with substantial professional experience provides her with broad and realistic insight into the world of mediation – its many benefits, and its many challenges. Her hands-on, light-hearted teaching approach creates an open, constructive learning environment in which participants can absorb and apply key concepts and skills.
