Doctor Web, Ltd. announced the release of a new solution for filtering unsolicited mail - Dr.Web Anti-spam for Unix mail servers.
This release opens an absolutely new line of products for Unix mail servers. It does not only protect corporate users from various spam, but can also use the award-winning Dr.Web technology for filtering infected mails, eliminating mail worms, Trojans, macro-viruses, polymorphic and dozens of other types of malicious software which can spread by e-mail. It can also perform an anti-viral scan of the server thus implementing a real protection for mail servers and not only for passing-through mail traffic. The header filter plug-in can filter all messages by their headers which is important for applying the enterprise security policy to neutralize insiders' activity.
Unique technologies used in the new Dr.Web Anti-spam solution for mail servers provide a correct handling of objects with multiple nesting levels. The solution for spam filtering by Doctor Web is based on a completely new technology Dr.Web MailD which makes it possible to assemble your mail protection system like a constructor - adding necessary modules in accordance with your specific needs.
As Linux viruses become more and more numerous, Doctor Web included in the new product an anti-virus scanner to protect mail servers against malicious codes.
