Collaboration Gateway, NSA Certified, for Secure Communications - a Trident Systems solution to be used in 2007 US Navy Exercise – White Paper Available
Fairfax, VA – March 19, 2007 – Trident Systems Incorporated, a technology solutions company, presents its system for secure communication in their Collaboration Gateway white paper that can be obtained at www.tridsys.com.
Trident Systems has designed a Collaboration Gateway (CG) system that allows U.S. Military and Intelligence Communities the ability to have a secure text chat within high-risk environments using open-standards-based turn-key systems. To provide a secure cross-domain instant messaging solution, the CG must be used in conjunction with certified guarding technology.
Prior to creation of the CG system, the Department of Defense found that there were numerous security classification and release problems that prevented the exchange of information with coalition partners. Not being able to share this valuable information with member nations and non-governmental organizations created challenges to U.S. Military operations. The only systems available were expensive, non-interoperable and proprietary.
The solutions that the CG system developed will not only resolve the cross-domain problems that the Department of Defense faced, but also help the other U.S. Intelligence Communities, such as DHS, FEMA and local law enforcement. In October of 2006, CG v1.1 successfully completed NSA Certification Testing and Evaluation (CT&E) and regression testing as a part of the JFCOM’s Cross Domain Collaborative Information Environment (CDCIE) system. The CG and CDCIE will be used during the U.S. Navy’s Trident Warrior 2007 exercise during March 2007.
