ADVISORY/SIATech at Phoenix Job Corps Graduation Ceremony January 26
PHOENIX, CA—January 24, 2007—SIATech, a public charter high school, proudly announces its graduation ceremony at the Phoenix Job Corps Center on Friday, January 26 at 6:00 p.m.
WHAT: The award of high school diplomas to 33 students that previously dropped out of the traditional educational system. The impact of the SIATech and Job Corps programs can be seen in the remarkable transformation of these dropouts into graduates prepared for higher education and the workforce.
One student speaker and graduate is Ashley Patterson who completed the security trade and is now employed full-time as a security officer. Other notable graduates (who each entered the program as English Language Learners) are James Choch, a “Lost Boy” from Sudan, who is now a restaurant manager, and Farzaneh Anarmeshk who just begun her first semester of college and plans to attend medical school.
