Major League Ballhawk - 2007 Trip of a Lifetime to all 30 MLB Parks and chasing 5,000 balls caught

Fullerton, CA - In 1977 at Old Comiskey Park in Chicago is where this all started! John Witt went to White Sox game with his family and during batting practice he was down the left field line. A ball was hit on the ground and the security guard stuck his foot out and the ball bounced over the first row of people and into his glove. Later that night he got another ball that was thrown by Chet Lemon from centerfield that got past the ball-boy and he leaned over the wall and picked it up.
29 years later Witt is closing in on 3,000 balls caught during the regular season and 5,000 balls over all which includes balls caught, retrieved or snagged at minor league games and during spring training as well!!
In 2007 Witt plans on making the "TRIP of a LIFETIME" by not only touring all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums but he will also visit all of the spring training sites in Florida and Arizona.
Witt hopes to raise money for cancer research. "My father died of stomach cancer when I was 16 and this is the trip that he always wanted to take! Now I will make the trip in his honor and raise money for cancer research as well!" Witt said when asked why he wanted to make the trip.
Witt is seeking sponsors for his trip. 70% of all sponsorship money will go to cancer research and the rest will help to cut the cost of the trip. "I am definitely not doing this to make money. I have lost a family member to cancer and I see the pain that families deal with on a daily basis. I want to make a difference in the fight on cancer!"
