QuickBooks - Password

Greetings:
I pray this will be soul searching! Why is it necessary to have a password? Two reasons for today: 1). security, 2). saves money
You are thinking - well, I can come up with more reason than two! So can I but I promise to keep it short!
Security - Whether working at a office with many or just yourself, have a password, Saves Money - How you ask? Lets combine 1&2 -

I'm giving two of the many!
1). Free Credit Report - it is to see many things but you can verify that no one in Ohio has your social security number and using a credit(s) cards and receiving bills (and not paying them) and your credit history is nose diving because of NOTHING YOU DID! You live in Washington and not Ohio. How are you suppose to know about the bills? Do you know that you only have 5 days to start dispute on credit cards that aren't yours without having to start being responsible to cover the debt?
2). Business Penalties - Did you know that businesses are now paying hefty sums of money when theives are stealing computers with social security numbers? I know one company that lost over 30 years of data entered onto one computer that contained the following: social security numbers, car VIN numbers, birth dates, maiden names, title numbers, etc. (yes an insurance company). This company finally bit the bullet and purchase a computer and entered all their data into that one computer. Also one year to the day afterwards, thinking break-ins would never happen to them, no password, no nothing, over 30 years of information gone because of theives (remember - back up your data)!
