SpooliT V3.8 iSeries breakthrough sets the standard against rivals

Melbourne, May 29 , 2006: Today Asymex announced that Version of V3.8 of its widely used i5, iSeries and AS/400 based SpooliT Enterprise software is now available.
This evolution includes several major new features including enhanced wizards, overlay and template design features. New automation rules, streamlined rule creation and alert features mean this version has best in class performance along with increased security and continuity features. SpooliT now combines a range of features found only in the entire range of some competitive offerings. SpooliT is one program, one license and one set of user skills.
Extended Automation for a Paperless Workplace
The new rules automation truly enables the paperless workplace and allows SpooliT to operate as your virtual systems operator - automating all report related functions from one simple to use SpooliT workbench via the use of simple wizards.
Rules definitions and rules automation can now be used to manage any business scenario - and all via the rules wizard and automation wizards. SpooliT V3.8’s rules have been extended across all types of automated jobs, ranging from:
• exporting reports into multiple PC formats
• report archiving requests
• report printing requests
• emailing reports
• report splitting
• text and graphical report overlays,
• archiving and reports administration
Advanced Spool Splitting
V3.8 develops the ability to burst a report or split a report into sections. Sections can then be emailed to separate email recipients or exported into many PC file formats and placed onto any storage system (local PC’s, network drives, CD’s, DVD’s, Optical disk, IFS or FTP servers. Imagine an invoice run that produced a 5000 page invoice report, a report that comprises 3400 individual customers. SpooliT Splitting will split the report into individual customized sections and distribute directly to the email recipient or export into any number of export locations. The email recipient or export location can be imbedded within the report itself or a rule defined to lookup the email address or export location from a table nominated on the iSeries server – increased automation.
Practical applications are Statements - Invoices - Remittance advises - Credit Notes -
Sales report by salesman - in fact any report that is produced that would otherwise need to manually burst or split then distributed manually. Splitting rules are stored as templates and can then be applied to the spool files at anytime. All spool file types will be supported: SCS, AFPDS, IPDS, AFPDSLINE, USERASCII, LINE etc.
