AdventNet Selected by D-Link to Offer Centralized Management, Security for SMB WLANs

AdventNet Inc., a pioneer and leader in cost-effective network management software, today announced that D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumers and business, will bundle WiFi Manager with it’s wireless access points to give small- to medium-sized businesses (SMB) greater management control and security for their wireless local area networks (WLANs).
D-Link will bundle AdventNet’s ManageEngine WiFi Manager with eight of its most popular wireless access points (APs) to provide SMBs with enterprise-class centralized management and security of their WLANs. The comprehensive package will be offered with D-Link’s DWL-2100, DWL-2200, DWL-2700, DWL-3200, DWL-7100, DWL-7200, DWL-7700 and DWL-8200.
AdventNet’s WiFi Manager software can detect major wireless threats, including rogue attacks, intrusions, sniffers, DoS attacks and other vulnerabilities.
With millions of D-Link access points currently in use by SMBs throughout North America and worldwide, IT teams face the growing need to better manage their wireless networks and ensure maximum security. WiFi Manager, which supports all major WLAN standards, including 802.11a, 802.llb, 802.llg, WEP and WAP, automatically discovers the D-Link access points and makes configuration and firmware upgrades quick and easy.
