One her recent visit to Ottawa, Susanne Pacher, publisher of Travel and Transitions, visited the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography. The museum began its life all the way back in World War II as the Still Photography Museum and is housed in a former railroad tunnel of the Grand Trunk railroad, which gives it a unique appearance. On her visit to the museum, Susanne had the opportunity to see two photographic series (Social Security and Homelands) by Sunil Gupta which are being featured in the Museum until April 23, 2006. Sunil Gupta was born in New Delhi and came to Montreal with his parents. Both of his photographic series are highly personal and shed light on the immigrant experience.
