zeeWAVES introduces wireless design and test service

Colorado Springs — September 1, 2005 — zeeWAVES – a technological leader in the deployment of new wireless communication solutions – announced the creation of a Global Services Division to complement its diverse offering of antennas and communication modules. Businesses and governmental agencies appreciate the flexibility of wireless communication networks, but they often lack the tools and expertise required to design, implement, secure, and test these systems. As networks and standards proliferate, the challenge becomes even greater.
“Many of our customers see radio-frequency [RF] communication almost like a form of voodoo.” said Jim Hinsey, zeeWAVES’ Director of Global Services. “Many of them have asked us to expand our role in their system design, and allow them to take advantage of our RF-domain expertise.”
Services from design, to the test lab, to the field
The two biggest barriers to designing and implementing an RF system are the expense of tools, and the scarcity of experienced engineers. As designers of leading-edge communication modules, zeeWAVES is well-positioned to help its customers overcome those barriers. The company’s application engineers have access to design tools that cost tens of thousands of dollars per seat; and because of the zeeWAVES’ close relationship with the University of Colorado the company has access to fully-equipped RF test labs.
According to Mr. Hinsey, zeeWAVES services are organized in three clusters: RF, security, and infrastructure. RF solutions include network site surveys, planning, and testing. Security services include risk management, policy creation, and compliance assessments. Infrastructure solutions include wireless network planning, service provisioning, and system evaluation and validation.
Complementary services part of introduction
zeeWAVES is running a valuable promotion as part of its introduction of its Global Services Division. Between today and March 31, 2006, zeeWAVES is offering a free 1-day RF site survey to the first 5 customers who respond. The normal charge for this service is $7,500.
This offer is only valid in the continental United States. Customers who take advantage of this offer will be charged a maximum of $400 for travel and expenses. If they purchase additional services within 30 days, this charge will be waived.
