Commercial printers become Internet-savvy with new estimating software

A milestone in the commercial printing industry was reached on January 31, 2005 when Noguska LLC announced the release of its NolaPrint 2.5 suite, software which allows for true integration of web-based technology into a print estimating package.
As a "web-based" application, NolaPrint allows employees to securely access their system via standard Internet browsers (IE, Netscape, Firefox) from anywhere in the world, while still maintaining server-side data integrity. Additionally, print shop clients can be provided password-protected accounts to log into a printer’s website to place new orders, change existing orders, or review their order history. With this advent of global web access, new cross-country and international printing markets now have the potential to be realized.
While many other industries are simply inching their way into the 21st century, NolaPrint expedites printing technology by allowing varying levels of restricted access to all employees, concurrently and regardless of location, as well as seamlessly integrating external client orders with internal plant inventory. For print shop managers worried about Internet security issues, NolaPrint can also be configured to serve only through a secure internal network, or simply used as a stand-alone application.
