Please join us for our August 25th chapter meeting. In this meeting we will have Joesph Hamm, CISSP speak to us about Anatomy of Detection: From Incident to Expedient Resolution. Networking and Food starts @ 6:30pm and the meeting will begin at 7pm. The meeting will be held at Wells Real Estate Funds in Norcross, GA (Directions below).

Speaker: Joseph Hamm, CISSP
A certified information systems security professional, Joseph Hamm brings significant expertise to Lancope in the areas of detecting behavior-based network anomalies, peer-to-peer traffic and worm propagation techniques. Prior to Lancope, Joe served as the technical account manager for Internet Security Systems, where he provided ongoing support to enterprise intrusion detection customers and managed internal technical training. Before joining ISS, he gained considerable networking proficiency at El Paso Energy Corporation and Cisco Systems. Recently he served as the Technical Editor of Linux Routing, a book by New Riders Publishing covering common routing and security issues, especially as they apply to configuring Linux based routers. A recognized network security expert, Joe has spoken at numerous industry conferences, including Networld+Interop and IP3, as well as related events held at Georgia Institute of Technology and Auburn University. A continuing supporter of the technology community, Joe is an active member of IEEE and the Information Systems Security Association.

Directions to Wells Real Estate Funds:
Take Exit 31B (Peachtree Industrial Blvd/HWY 141)
off of I-285 heading North (Cumming/Dahlonega).
Stay in left lane. Highway will split just past Exit for Jimmy Carter Blvd.
Stay to the left (HWY 141 - Peachtree Parkway)
At first light turn left on Holcomb Bridge Road.
Turn right on The Corners Parkway.
Wells Real Estate Funds is at 6200 The Corners Parkway
(6 story building on hill on left).
From parking lot, go through main doors and take elevator
down to Terrace (T). Follow signs to "Wells University".
