Never put personal, private or credit card information online again
[author:isodata Public time:Feb 28, 2004]

NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma-based Isolated Data Systems LLC (Isodata)

introduces a secure offline Internet shopping solution designed to make the

identification, tracking, and profile building of Internet shoppers and surfers virtually impossible.. The Isodata system allows the user full unabridged access to the world wide web anonymously, while providing an easy to use online ordering system which lets the user order any item or internet service with complete offline security and anonymity.

Patented by Isodata, John Doe is an anonymous proxy server that allows users to

surf the Internet exactly the same as before, except that they are identifiable only as a

"John Doe," with no traceable IP address or any other information that could be used to build an online user/purchaser profile.  Customer information resides in a secure offline server at Isodata that is not connected to the Internet.

"No matter what companies say, the only way to know for sure that nobody knows who you are, where you're going or what services you're buying is not to put the information on the Internet in the first place," said Dan Mackey, CEO of Isodata.

Isodata has sought to eliminate every weak link that could be exploited to gather data about the online user. When customers sign up for John Doe, they supply their credit card and other personal information to Isodata on paper via conventional mail or by fax..

Isodata introduces secure Internet solution

Besides providing ironclad privacy, John Doe also eliminates other problems for Internet shoppers. For example, users don't have to fill out long, complicated forms and answer personal questions with each purchase. When users find a product or service they want to purchase, they simply click a button to send the ordering information to Isodata, where the information is processed on behalf of the customer.

"There are all sorts of encryption and privacy solutions out there already, but they're not totally secure," Mackey explained. "Any computer with customer information on it can be hacked one way or another if it's connected to the Internet."

Isodata's anonymous proxy portal, where subscribers log in, uses separate log in and order codes to make a purchase. "If someone were to hack into our system, all they'd find are unintelligible codes and useless information. There's nothing traceable to the customer, and no customer data to steal," Mackey added.

"We expect most of Isodata’s business to come from people who do not like the idea of their credit card and other personal information being online," said Mackey. "John Doe is the only Internet security company to give them the comfort of knowing private information stays private by never going online to began with.”
