I am having problems with Live Update.
When starting Registry Mechanic I get the error "This program has been damaged."
I get a runtime error message on startup.

Uninstalling and upgrading Registry Mechanic

Uninstalling

To uninstall Registry Mechanic from your PC, ensure that the application has been closed. Next, click on Start -> All Programs / Programs -> Registry Mechanic (folder) -> Uninstall Registry Mechanic. Follow the prompts to remove the application from your computer.

Alternatively you can uninstall Registry Mechanic through the Windows Control Panel by completing the following steps:

  1. Ensure that the application has been closed, then open the Windows Control Panel by clicking Start -> (Settings ->) Control Panel.

  2. In the Control Panel, click or double-click "Add or Remove programs" / "Add/Remove Programs".

  3. In the list of currently installed programs/software, click the "Registry Mechanic" item to select it.

  4. Click the Remove / Add/Remove... button and follow the prompts to remove the application from your computer.

Upgrading

To update or upgrade Registry Mechanic:

Use Registry Mechanic's Live Update feature. This allows for new third party software support, main application files for upgraded functionality and Help updates.

Alternatively, download the new release of Registry Mechanic from the PC Tools web site and install it onto your PC. If you install an upgraded version of Registry Mechanic to the same location as your previous version, it installs over the earlier version, retaining your existing registration and configuration settings.
