Click No
to discard your section selection. Control returns to the Main
Status screen.
By default, the first

Scanning your system
During a scan, the Scanning screen is displayed. As Registry Mechanic
scans your system, colored bars increment from left to right, providing
an indication of how far the scan has progressed. The upper bar indicates
the overall scan progress, while the lower bar indicates the progress
of the current section being scanned.
The time taken to progress through a scan depends on a number of factors,
including:
The number of sections you have requested Registry
Mechanic to scan.
The speed of your system.
The amount of problems found in your Registry.
Any third party applications running in the background,
such as virus protection software.
To stop the scan at any time,
click the Stop button. A message
prompts you to confirm if you wish to cancel the current scan.
To continue with the
current scan, click the No button.
When Registry Mechanic has finished scanning your system, the Scan
results screen displays. Here you can view the individual problems
detected by the scan and modify
the actions you require before implementing them with the Repair
function.
