Licence Agreement

Registry Mechanic is registered, but after scanning and repairing consecutively, the same number of problems appear.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Registry Mechanic installed.

If this problem persists, it may be caused by recurring invalid entries, which can be created by the normal operation of some applications (including the Windows operating system itself). For example, when an application is executed, it may create files on your hard drive and place entries into the Registry that reference these files. When the program is shut down, it may remove these files from the drive but not their references in the Registry, thus creating invalid entries.

Please run a test to determine if Registry Mechanic is working correctly:

  1. Start Registry Mechanic.

  2. Run a Full Scan and Repair.

  3. Run a second Full Scan, immediately after completing step 2.

Are there any errors detected?

If not, then Registry Mechanic is correctly detecting and repairing the problems. However, if errors are still being detected, please send all your log files to support@pctools.com. When doing this, please send the entire contents of your Registry Mechanic log folder, which is usually located in "C:\Program Files\Registry Mechanic\log". For convenience, you may wish to compress this folder in zip or rar format.
